What information do we collect via the Contact Form on this website?
We collect your name when you contact us via the Contact Form on this website. It is up to you whether you would like to enter your full name, your first name only or even a nickname. We collect this information such that we know how to call you in our response.
We also collect your email address such that we know where you would like us to send our response to. We respect your email privacy, so your email address will not be used for any other purpose and will not be shared with outside parties.
What information do we collect upon reservation?
We collect your full name, country of residence, phone number, date of booking, date of check-in and date of check-out when you are making a reservation with us. We collect this information in order to properly manage your reservation and to be able to contact you for matters related to your reservation. We also collect this information in order to comply to our legal obligation to report statistics to the National Statistics Institute of Portugal (Instituto Nacional de Estatística - INE).
What information do we collect upon check-in?
In case you are a Portuguese resident, we collect your fiscal number (NIF). We collect this information in order to prepare your invoice.
In case you are not a Portuguese resident, we collect your full name, nationality, date of birth, place of birth, place of residence, and the number and country of issue of your identification. We also collect this information from your travel companion(s). We collect this information in order to comply to our legal obligation to report your visit to the Immigration and Borders Service (Serviço de Estrangeiros e Fronteiras - SEF) and to prepare your invoice.
How do we store your information?
Should you choose to contact us using the contact form on our website, none of the data that you enter will be stored on this website or passed to or processed by any third-party.
The information that we collect upon reservation is stored on our personal, password protected computers and devices. This information is kept for five (5) years.
The information that we collect upon check-in is not stored. The information is destroyed immediately after the data has been processed.
Who do we share your information with?
We do not share your information with anybody unless we have a legal obligation to do so.
Our legal obligations are towards the following authorities.
- Autoridade Tributária e Aduaneira (AT) - reporting of invoices
- Serviço de Estrangeiros e Fronteiras (SEF) - reporting of non-Portuguese residents
- Instituto Nacional de Estatística (INE) - reporting of statistics
What are your privacy rights?
You have the following rights with respect to your personal data:
- You have the right to know why your personal data is needed, what will happen to it, and how long it will be retained for.
- Right of access: You have the right to access your personal data that is known to us.
